Prospero Teaching is currently seeking several Teaching Assistants for an OFSTED 'Outstanding' specialist school in Lichfield.
This school provides exceptional education and support for children and young people aged 7-18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, autism, and related conditions.
The school is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
Job Description: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will utilise your passion for sports and physical activity to enhance the educational and emotional development of our students.
Your key responsibilities will include: Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering tailored educational programs that incorporate physical activity and sports, engaging students according to their individual needs.
Supporting students aged 7-18 with SEMH, autism, and related conditions in both academic and physical activities, helping to build their confidence, resilience, and social skills.
Assisting with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the holistic development of each student.
Requirements: A background in sports coaching, sports science, physical education, or a related field.
A strong commitment to working with children and young people with SEN, particularly those with SEMH and autism.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and inspire students through physical activity and sports.
