SEMH Teaching Assistant Long Term Teachers are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support children within a specialist SEMH school.
This is a dedicated school who supports students with social, emotional and mental health struggles.
The ideal candidate would have experience with behaviour management.
This can be a challenging role and no day is the same.
The ideal candidate is someone who is able to provide a calm and supportive environment and is able to de escalate a situation, knowledge of the trauma informed approach is also beneficial.
Your duties will include: supporting the class teacher with the lesson providing 1:1 support to students assisting with reading and writing supervising small groups/ lunchtime supervision Located in a small village near St Austell you will be joining a dedicated and supportive team.
You will have the opportunity to become a part of the team and make a real difference to the students time at the school. Hours: 8.30-3.30, Monday - Friday Day rate: £85-95 per day (dependent on experience) Qualification are desirable but not essential Working with Long Term Teachers: We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
