SEMH Cover Supervisor / HLTA Full-time ideally Special school SEMH/ASD students Ages 6-16 Leading pre-planned lessons 8:30am - 3:15 We're working closely with a fantastic special school based on the outskirts of Bath that are looking for an HLTA to join the team in providing support across the school.
The school looks after a range of special needs but are primarily an SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental health) environment.
We have 2 candidates that are currently working in the school on a full-time/long term basis who couldn't be more positive about the school, both commenting on how supportive they feel there.
The role The role of HLTA is incredibly varied.
Your responsibilities will be mixed between providing cover in leading pre-planned lessons as well as providing support as a TA with general classroom support.
You will essentially be used as the school's all rounder!
Due to the nature of the role, it is essential you are adaptable, proactive, confident, enthusiastic and feel confident in leading classes.
As needs of the students are SEMH, it is essential you feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour and have worked with special needs in some capacity.
