Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working? You will be the first member of Kaluza's internal Security Operations Team, working in close collaboration with our Security Engineering Team, whose mission is to empower teams to make more informed and secure decisions, reducing security friction and ensuring that security is central to the platform. This collaborative team plays a crucial role in the platform's success, driven by its robust security processes.
Is this the Job for Me? Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, helping you proactively detect and respond to threats. A solid understanding of incident response procedures and industry best practices, ensuring you're ready to tackle security challenges head-on. Familiarity with essential cloud-native security tools like web application firewalls, threat detection, EDR and vulnerability management tools to keep threats at bay. Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities, allowing you to dissect complex issues and craft effective solutions. Stellar communication and collaboration skills, making you an indispensable team player. Cloud-native mindset – Kaluza operates in the cloud, so this role is ideal for someone comfortable navigating cloud tools and environments. Automation skills are a plus! Dive into Security: Work closely with our Security Engineering team to implement and maintain detection tooling, SIEM, and develop and tune monitoring to ensure that alerts are high fidelity.Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with the latest in security threats and technologies through industry publications, conferences, and training. Share your insights with our Kaluza teams to keep everyone informed and ahead of the game.Lead the Charge in Incident Response: Take charge of triaging and investigating incidents, mitigating impacts, leading forensics if needed, and performing root cause analysis.Manage Vulnerabilities Like a Pro: Monitor vulnerability dashboards and CSPM, follow up with teams, and take the lead in organizing penetration tests to ensure we're always secure.Secure Our Third Parties: Ensure that our third-party partners meet our security standards by developing and negotiating agreements, reviewing controls, and conducting audits.Audit and Improve: Conduct internal security assessments and audits to evaluate our infrastructure and systems, identifying and addressing areas for improvement.Collaborate with our TechOps Teams: Close collaboration with our Internal Tech Services and Sec Eng Teams across tools such as ZeroTrust, MDM and EndPoint Protection.Kaluza Values Here at Kaluza we have five core values that guide us as a business:
