Main duties of the job As a Secure Ambulance Care Assistant, you will be responsible for the safe transport of service users, many of whom are detained under the Mental Health Act.
Your duties will include:Responding promptly to calls and arriving at the base within 10 minutes when on-call.
Driving to and from destinations across the UK in various vehicles (B-category, such as minibuses and non-emergency ambulances).
Providing emotional support and building rapport with vulnerable service users to ensure they feel safe during transport.
Conducting vehicle checks and preparing all necessary equipment at the beginning of each shift.
Assisting with the transport of mobility-impaired individuals, including the use of wheelchairs, stretchers, and manual handling equipment (training provided).
Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to all infection control policies.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the well-being of service users and conducting dynamic risk assessments throughout transport.

Driving Licence: Full UK manual driving licence with a minimum of 1 years driving experience, less than 6 points, over twenty-five, and no 'DD' coded offences.
