Job summary Secretarial AssistantBand 2Haematology DepartmentLincoln hours p/weekPermanent We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to work at Lincoln Hospital within the Haematology Department working hours per week as a medical secretarial assistant.This post will commence from April 2025 Main duties of the job The medical secretarial team provides a comprehensive service to the Consultants and their teams, and is essential in the provision of providing a high quality patient experience.
The post-holder will support the medical secretaries in the day to day organisation of the Consultant Haematologist's in their daily administrative dutiesThe successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player and an experienced typist.
They will be required to have GCSE English grade C or equivalent.
A flexible approach to work is required.

Person Specification Qualification Essential Typing and or Word/Text Processing Skills Audio Typing Experience GCSE English Grade C or equivalent Text Word processing & audio skills to RSA II or equivalent 4 GCSE C or equivalent.
Business Admin NVQ II or equivalent Experience Essential Previous experience in office environment Some knowledge of medical terminology Desirable Previous NHS experience Specific Requirements Essential Conscientious in standard of work produced Ability to work to tight deadlines and as part of a team Clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
