**Polite notice, previous applicants need not apply** Main duties of the job As a Secretarial Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, assisting our Consultants and clinical staff in delivering a safe and efficient service.
Your responsibilities will include audio typing of correspondence, updating patient pathways, preparing clinic documents, and providing essential administrative support to the wider team.
You'll also handle a variety of clerical tasks that keep our department running smoothly.

Person Specification Education and Qualifications Essential Educated to GCSE level standard English Language at Grade A - C (or equivalent) Desirable NVQ 11 in Business Administration RSA II typing or equivalent in typing Audio typing qualification or recent relevant experience Experience Essential Experience of using MS Office, particularly MS Word and Outlook Desirable Experience of using Hospital systems, for example PAS (Patient Administration System) Experience of working with the general public and/or professionals Previous Secretarial/Office experience Key Skills Essential Good standard of written and verbal communication Organisational skills and a flexible approach to work Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to ensure deadlines are achieved Knowledge and Aptitudes Essential Demonstrate an understanding of customer care/ability to work with sensitive and confidential information Knowledge and understanding of Confidentiality and the Data Protection ACT Ability to adhere to Policies and Procedures
