Full-Time Secondary SEMH Learning Support Assistant – Horncastle Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Horncastle on a full-time basis.
Role Details: Position: Secondary SEMH Learning Support Assistant Location: Horncastle, Lincolnshire Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Salary: £85-£95 per day (dependent on experience) Duration: Ongoing, starting ASAP Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and group support for secondary-aged students with SEMH needs.
Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Support students both academically and emotionally, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Support students with their social and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
The Ideal Candidate: Level 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) qualification (or equivalent).
Experience working with students with SEMH or other special educational needs.
Knowledge of SEMH care, behaviour management techniques, and effective learning strategies.
A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to working with young people.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
