Secondary School Teaching Assistant Warrington  Up to £500 per week – Salary dependent on experience Full-time / Part Time  (3 - 5 days per week)  Monday to Friday We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to join our team supporting students across local secondary schools.

About the Role Working directly with students aged 11-16 who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), you will provide crucial support to help them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
You'll be part of a committed team delivering both in-class support and small group interventions.
Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with various special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and social-emotional challenges Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt learning materials and ensure lessons are accessible to all students Support students' emotional and social development, helping them build confidence and independence Maintain detailed records of student progress and contribute to educational healthcare plans (EHCPs) Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your SEND expertise Required Qualifications & Experience: Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent) Experience working with young people with SEND (professional or voluntary) Understanding of safeguarding principles and practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education Desirable Qualities: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards this Experience in a secondary school setting Knowledge of specific SEND interventions and support strategies First aid qualification Benefits of working with Connex Education: Competitive pay rates up to £500 per week Full training provided to support you in the role Weekly PAYE payments Free access to our Classroom Management Toolkit for skill development Wellbeing programme and ongoing professional development opportunities Potential pathway into qualified teaching A dedicated Education Consultant to support your career goals
