We are recruiting a dedicated RE Teacher to join a secondary school in Medway on a full-time basis to cover maternity leave.
This role requires a commitment to planning and marking responsibilities, ensuring continuity and excellence in the delivery of the RE curriculum.
Responsibilities of Secondary RE Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons that inspire and challenge students.
Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages respect, curiosity, and critical thinking.
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental planning and activities.
Engage with parents and carers through effective communication and participation in school events during the maternity cover contract. Requirements for Secondary RE Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stages 3 and 4.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for encouraging students to explore ethical and philosophical ideas.
Excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
Commitment to covering the maternity leave period starting 2nd December 2024.
