Stevenage The Sea Ceptor Weapon Systems team is continuing to expand and seeks a System Engineer to work in this dynamic and challenging environment.
Pivotal to this role is enabling the delivery of Sea Ceptor to multiple customers concurrently, whilst managing adaptations for an increasing number of export customers.
Job Title: Sea Ceptor Systems Verification Lead Salary: up to£57,000 (depending on experience) Location : Bristol or Stevenage (we may be able to offer a relocation package for this role) Dynamic (hybrid) working : typically, 3 days per week on-site, due to workload classification Security Clearance : British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.

As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team The opportunity: Sea Ceptor is a very successful, growing, innovative, high profile maritime air defence system that has secured multiple UK and export contracts.
This role is within the Weapon Systems Design & Verification team, delivering the Verification activities to support multiple customer deliverables (both export and domestic) within Sea Ceptor.
This will consist of the work package planning, budgeting and technical management to ensure the activities are completed on time, cost and quality.
The role would include the management of personnel to achieve the required output.
Key responsibilities: Maintenance of multiple domestic and export programme plans and governance documentation to verify and certify the Sea Ceptor System for all customers - e.g.
Design Assurance Plan, Design Certification Plans and Design Verification Plans - accountable for all Certification and Verification planning activity.
Responsible for documentation (e.g.
Trials Requirement Documents and Product Trials Clearance Certificates) and closure of Reviews (e.g.
Regression Test Panels) to enable trials and evidence collation to occur.
System level compliance evidence generation and certification, including generation of System Verification documentation e.g.
Compliance Matrices and Certificates of Design Review of Subsystem evidence and outputs to enable Systems activities.
Work Package and budgetary management of System Verification and Validation Activities.
What we're looking for from you: A strong appreciation of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, specifically with demonstrated experience in formal verification and certification processes; A strong motivation for delivery, enabled by an ability to work proactively and flexibly across a number of variant programmes for which relative priorities can change quickly; An effective team player with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, essential to working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and in building cohesion in the relationships between the Systems team and various interfacing teams; Experience using DOORS is required.
