Scrum Master (SAAS, Software, Data, Data Insights, AWS) Location : Remote (HQ in Manchester) Fixed Term Contract for 1 year Start : ASAP Our vision is working towards a world in which intelligent technology significantly improves the quality of life for people who live in social housing and our mission is delivering accurate actionable data insights that help social housing providers to deliver a more consistent and equitable service.
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support various teams in our organisation.
Responsibilities - Following agile engineering practices to assist the delivery of successful products for Mobysoft, leveraging Open Source stacks, AWS Cloud Platform Services (IaaS & PaaS).
Ensuring that the Scrum team follows the processes and remove obstacles and distractions that may impede the team from meeting goals Liaising with Product Management and team leads to ensure effective backlog refinement, prioritisation and consistent task estimation Managing the creation, running of sprints across multiple team.
Hosting and facilitating the team daily stand ups Coaching team members to ensure that agile processes are well understood and executed Continuous Improvement within the Software Engineering Community Working with Head of Department, Architecture, QA, SysOps and other Software Engineering Leaders to contribute to the continuing improvement of the Technology Division Key Tasks & Accountabilities Follow agile engineering practices to assist the delivery of successful product development within Mobysoft: Manage and facilitate all sprint ceremonies such as stand-ups, retrospectives, show and tells, backlog refinements, sprint planning etc.
Servant leadership to create and manage the running of effective sprints across multiple teams using Jira as the central collaboration tool Concentrates the team to ensure on-time delivery of stories Encourages full participation of team members Ensures that the time box/sprint is properly focused and controlled Escalates blockers Monitors day-to-day progress Execute and monitor deployment plan Sprint and project progress Team resourcing, allocation and capacity Sprint and content Deployment and delivery planning Deployment release notes in conjunction with product teams Key Skills & Knowledge Excellent communication skills, including ability to motivate and inspire the team Excellent experience of Agile Development Methodologies and Agile Engineering Practises e.g.
SCRUM, XP, CD/CI, TDD, Pair Programming Excellent planning and organizational skills to and willingness to take ownership of problems remove blockers to progress Commercial experience of software development within a SaaS business Qualifications Required Education to degree level or equivalent e.g.
Software Engineering training and experience in a commercial environment Accreditation as a Agile Scrum Master (eg, ICAgile, BCS, CSM etc) to foundational level or better.
