We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Scrub Nurse to work in Broomfield Hospital for short and long term placements as well as ad-hoc shifts in a variety of NHS Hospitals and Private Organisations.
\n As a Scrub Nurse working in Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford alongside Surgeons, Anaesthetists, Theatre Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs), Theatre Support Workers and Porters to provide skilled care and support throughout a patient's perioperative care.
\n You will be joining a friendly team of medical and nursing staff who are passionate about what they do and the services they provide to both patients and visitors.
\n Main Duties/Responsibilities \n As a Scrub Nurse you will: \n \n \nMonitor and maintain a safe and sterile environment for the patient throughout the surgical procedure.
\n \n \nTo safely identify, prepare, check and assemble equipment required for the relevant operating list \n \n \nPrepare and organise the clinical area to receive patients for elective, emergency, and trauma procedures.? \n \n \nCoordinate and maintain adequate stock levels of drugs, stores and implants liaising with the Theatre Manager and / Procurement.
\n \n \nActively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information using various methods to ensure effective understanding.
\n \n \nDemonstrate and develop clinical assessment skills and prioritise the care for patients undergoing a surgical / anaesthetic procedure.
\n \n \nContribute to the continuing development of patient care within the operating theatres, e.g.
through sharing knowledge and expertise as required.

\n \n \n \n Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications \n As a Scrub Nurse it is essential that you hold: \n \n \nCurrent NMC/HCPC registration \n \n \nAt least 1 years' post-graduate experience.
\n \n \n6 months recent UK experience within the last 3 years.
\n \n \n With your skills and passion for patient care as a Scrub Nurse you will be an asset to the theatre team.
