Job summary NHS England and Improvement South East Public Health Commissioning Team has WTE fixed term vacancy (fixed term - 9 monthsleave cover) for a Public Health Screening and Immunisation Coordinator to work as part of the Hampshire and Isle Of Wight (HIOW) Screeningand Immunisation Team.
Main duties of the job The post holder will support the commissioning of consistent, resilient, and high-quality national screening and immunisation programmes,providing leadership, support, and challenge to service providers to achieve high coverage rates and maintain the quality and equity of theprogramme pathways.
They will support implementation of commissioning and delivery of the national screening and immunisation programmes.

Job description Job responsibilities Working with the Screening and Immunisation Managers and Consultant in Public Health- Screening and Immunisation Lead, applicants will commission consistently resilient, high quality, national screening, and Immunisation programmes within the defined geography of NHS England (HIOW).
The Screening and Immunisation Team also has a key role in leading changes to reduce inequalities in screening and Immunisation programmes.
Depending on experience and working pattern, the postholders may have responsibility for specific immunisation or screening programmes or a mixture of both.
Programme responsibilities may change according to the needs of the service.
The post holders will ideally have a sound knowledge of screening and immunisation programmes and of commissioning population health programmes.
The postholder will have the ability to engage and work with a wide range of partners, working independently and as part of a team.
They will also be able to synthesise information and data from a range of sources into professional briefing papers.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to Post-graduate degree level in relevant subject (eg MSc Public Health) or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in relevant specialist area.
Knowledge and Experience Essential Demonstrable specialist knowledge in a relevant discipline (ie understanding of principles of population screening and immunisation) Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects / programmes in complex and challenging environments Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at senior management team level.
Skills Essential Clear communicator with excellent written and presentation skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately to a diverse and varied range of audiences consisting of internal and external stakeholders.
