Northreach is a dynamic recruitment agency that connects businesses with top talent in the cell & gene therapy, fintech, and digital sectors. Our mission is to provide a seamless and personalised recruitment experience for clients and candidates, and to create a positive work environment that encourages equality, innovation, and professional growth. We have partnered with a well funded, Oxford based biotech focused on developing next-generation cancer immunotherapies. They are leveraging innovative approaches to target previously untapped areas of cancer biology, with the aim of creating transformative treatments for patients.
I am seeking a motivated Scientist with a passion for immunotherapy to join an innovative display technology team. This position requires expertise in molecular biology and in-vitro display and selection. It presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of novel technology platforms and therapies targeting cancers with significant unmet medical needs.
Key Responsibilities: Design, conduct, and evaluate experiments to advance the preclinical pipeline of bispecific T cell engagers. Generate and select yeast TCR display libraries to engineer TCR-directed, bispecific molecules. Provide scientific expertise on TCR engineering projects to develop affinity-optimized TCRs. Maintain scientific excellence within the team by ensuring high-quality experimental design and execution. Present experimental data at internal meetings and contribute to discussions. Foster a collaborative and innovative working environment, sharing ideas and improvements across teams. Work closely with cross-functional teams, project leaders, and process leaders to advance the platform and pipeline. Role Requirements: A PhD or equivalent scientific experience in a relevant field. Hands-on experience and technical knowledge of in-vitro display and panning platforms (preferably including yeast and mammalian display). Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, Sanger sequencing, and NGS sequencing. Demonstrated success in executing scientific projects, with evidence of innovative thinking and problem-solving. Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. Northreach is an equal opportunity employer and we do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or age.
