Job Summary: They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scientist to join the dynamic team of 12 in the lab.
The successful candidate will play a key role initiating innovative ideas for assay development to identify pathway biology of novel drug targets.
You will make use of cellular, immunological, biochemical, molecular biology and functional genomic approaches, and you will validate drug targets and novel therapeutic agents including ADC's.
Key Responsibilities: Research & Development: Conduct experimental research related to oncology and Fibrosis, including molecular and cellular biology techniques (e.g., CRISPR, RNAi, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry).
Target Identification: Establish different robust cell-based assays aimed at target discovery, MOA validation and drug screening.
Preclinical Studies: Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments to assess the efficacy of drug candidates, Contribute to ongoing research on oncology and fibrosis drug discovery projects.
Data Analysis: Independently analyse, interpret, report and present results.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry, and clinical development to advance oncology research programs.
Publication & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, present findings to internal stakeholders, and contribute to peer-reviewed scientific publications.
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on research experience in oncology.
Practical experience in cancer biology, immunology and pharmacology Strong track record of scientific publications in cancer research.
Experience in assay development, immuno-oncology and cell death biology.
Technical Expertise: Proficient in molecular and cellular biology techniques.
Experience with cancer models (e.g., xenograft models, organoids).
Hands-on experience of key immunological and molecular biology techniques including but not limited to RNA/DNA extraction, qRT-PCR, ELISA/Luminex/MSD, western blotting.
Familiarity with drug discovery processes and biomarker development is a plus.
Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team..
Expertise in establishing multi-colour FACS panels for analysis of complex cell populations is an advantage.
Qualifications and Competencies: PhD in Biomedical sciences, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related discipline or MSc plus 3 years practical experience in cellular or molecular biology, molecular pharmacology or cancer biology with a focus on immuno-oncology.
Prior working experience in the biotech/pharma industry performing laboratory research would be an advantage.
Work well within a team and in a matrix environment.
