About the Role: Position: Science Teacher Start Date: January 2025 Location: Winchester, accessible from Fair Oak, Newbury, Andover, Salisbury, Romsey, Chandlers Ford, and Southampton.
Salary: Main Pay Range / Upper Pay Range, suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers.
Hours: Full-time preferred, part-time applications considered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver challenging schemes of work across the full age and ability range, fostering a stimulating and positive classroom environment.
Teaching Excellence: Engage students with a variety of teaching methods, track progress using data, and mark student work in line with the school's policy.
Student Support: Set home learning assignments and provide regular formative feedback.
Work closely with the Additional Learning Team to ensure all students, including those with additional needs, make progress.
Professional Development: Maintain high standards of professionalism, stay updated on curriculum changes, and actively seek personal development opportunities.
Wider Contribution: Participate in extra-curricular activities, attend meetings, and take on a pastoral role as a tutor, promoting student well-being.
Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who: Demonstrates a passionate commitment to Science and excellent subject knowledge.
Is an effective classroom practitioner who values strong, positive relationships with students.
Uses creativity and diverse teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
Has up-to-date knowledge of the Science curriculum and recent educational developments.
