GSL Education are working with a number of partner schools in Redcar to find an adaptable and motivated Science Teacher for daily supply and long-term cover.
This is an ideal role for qualified teachers who are enthusiastic about engaging students in science education and can step into a variety of classrooms with ease.
Role Overview : As a Science Teacher , you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons to students in different year groups, ensuring the continuation of learning during teacher absences.
Your ability to make science engaging and accessible, while maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour, will contribute to the success of your students.
Science Teacher Key Responsibilities : Deliver engaging and structured lessons in science across different key stages.
Ensure that students are supported in their learning and behaviour, maintaining a positive learning environment.
Quickly build relationships with students and staff to enhance the classroom atmosphere.
Mark students' work and provide constructive feedback to support their progress.
Uphold school policies, values, and contribute to a positive educational experience for all students.
Science Teacher Requirements : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification .
Experience teaching science, with a strong understanding of the curriculum at various key stages.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
A proactive, adaptable approach to teaching in different school settings.
An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service , or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
