Position: Science Teacher Location: Mainstream Secondary School, Didsbury Start Date: 6th January 2025 Employment Type: Full-time About the Role: Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Didsbury.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to students across various year groups, fostering a love for learning and encouraging scientific inquiry.
Salary: £31,650 to £49,084 per annum.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for science.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to curriculum development and improvement initiatives.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the science field and educational practices.
Qualifications: A relevant degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching at the secondary level is preferred but not essential; NQT applications are welcome.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
