Science Teacher (Specialism in SEN) Location: Surrey Salary: 33,075 to 48,300 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: Easter 2025 Are you a passionate Science Teacher with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN), ready to make a difference in the lives of pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs?
As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across a range of scientific disciplines, while adapting your approach to support students with SEMH and other additional needs.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver dynamic science lessons across various year groups, using differentiated strategies to support pupils with SEN. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback that supports both academic and emotional development.
Foster an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, inquiry, and positive engagement with scientific concepts.
Work closely with other staff members to implement tailored support for students with SEMH, ensuring their specific needs are met within the curriculum.
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance both your SEN teaching skills and subject knowledge.
Ideal Candidate: A qualified teacher with a degree in Science or a related field, alongside experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with SEMH.
A passion for teaching science and the ability to engage and inspire students facing various challenges.
Strong classroom management skills, with an empathetic and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff.
