Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and experienced Science teacher to join a secondary school in the Gosport area for one term starting in January 2025.

As a Science teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring and challenging students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
You will be expected to tailor your teaching to meet the individual needs of all pupils, ensuring that every student can access and engage with the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities: Delivering the Science Curriculum : Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring students develop a solid understanding of scientific principles.
Supporting Student Progress : Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing feedback and additional support to help students reach their potential.
You will ensure that all pupils are making the necessary academic progress, particularly those who may need extra help.
Classroom Management : Maintain a positive and focused learning environment, using effective classroom management strategies to keep students engaged, motivated, and on track.
Collaborative Working : Work closely with colleagues in the Science department, as well as other teachers, support staff, and the Senior Leadership Team, to ensure the continued success of the department and the school.
Inclusive Teaching : Ensure that lessons are accessible to all students, by differentiating materials and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
Encouraging Curiosity : Inspire students to develop a love for science, encouraging them to ask questions, think critically, and explore the world around them through scientific inquiry.
Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) : You must hold QTS and be eligible to teach in the UK.
Experience : At least 6 months of UK-based experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Subject Knowledge : Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum, with the ability to effectively teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Experience preparing students for GCSE exams is highly desirable.
Passion for Science : You will be an enthusiastic and engaging teacher who can inspire students to develop an interest in science and a deeper understanding of the subject.
Team Player : You will be collaborative, working closely with your colleagues to share resources, best practices, and ideas to drive departmental success.
