We are looking for a hardworking, organised Apprentice to join our pharmacy aseptic team.
The post will be based at either Hammersmith or the Charing Cross site and will require studying online on a weekly basis and in addition to independent learning.
You will participate in the preparation of chemotherapy, clinical trials and parenteral nutrition, for both adults and neonates.
The post holder will also play an active role in the day to day running of the aseptic unit.

Main duties of the job To participate in the compounding of aseptically prepared products mainly cytotoxics and clinical trials.To assist in the maintenance of adequate stock levels of raw materials and sundries required for compoundingTo input prescription information using the Pharmacy Computer systemTo assist in the use of computerised stock control system and maintain accurate stock levelsTo assist in maintaining the integrity of the production environment, in compliance with standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing PracticeTo participate in the distribution of pharmaceuticals to the end usersTo help maintain all necessary logs, files and recordsTo assist in the gathering of statistical informationTo enhance the quality of patient careTo demonstrate a whole-system patient focused approachTo communicate with patients and health care professionals About us At Imperial College Healthcare you can achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people, working with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care.
