Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the school, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Maintain and reconcile the school's financial records, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements to senior leadership.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment processing.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Support the preparation for external audits and liaise with auditors as required.
- Provide financial analysis and advice to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements: - A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a finance role, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial management software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of financial management.
Desirable: - Experience with financial management systems specific to educational institutions.
- Knowledge of government funding processes and financial regulations related to schools.
