School Caretaker

Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Caretaker to ensure our buildings and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully functional and Health & Safety compliant.

You will be joining our Facilities Management team based at schools in Exeter.
Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed and keeping the premises clean and orderly.
You will need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities: Ensure security integrity of the school buildings and grounds through locking and unlocking, patrols, monitoring.
Carry out defined Planned Preventative Maintenance responsibilities in accordance with each school's schedule and individual's skills.
Where appropriate provide access, escort, liaise with and assist service providers on site to undertake remedial work or Planned Prevented Maintenance.
Carry out minor repairs and decoration works Respond to emergency situations such as floods, bodily fluids and effecting temporary or permanent rectification in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales.
Checks of BMS, boilers, hot water functioning, pest inspections, drains, gullies for blockages and plant rooms Carry out day-to -day duties according to daily schedule, i.e., littler picking, Bin emptying, sweeping, refreshing toilets.
