Job Advertisement: Temporary School Administrator A position has become available for a School Administrator to join a dynamic and supportive team on a temporary basis during an ongoing recruitment process.
The ideal candidate will be a highly competent and well-organised individual with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
The position is available from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities Manage administrative tasks related to school attendance, including SIMS operations, liaising with Alternative Provisions, and first-day contact procedures.
Collate registers and complete returns required by the local authority and DfES, such as Census data, staff attendance, and supply data.
Handle reception duties, including answering calls, face-to-face enquiries, and signing in/out for visitors and students.
Take detailed meeting notes and distribute high-quality minutes for meetings such as staff discussions, student reviews, and HR meetings.
Provide general clerical support, including photocopying, filing, email correspondence, routine form completion, and handling complex communications.
Process invoices and orders for school resources and personnel, manage petty cash, and administer reimbursements for school credit cards.
Maintain and update the school's website, social media platforms, and newsletters.
Requirements Proven experience in administrative roles, ideally within an education setting.
Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
Familiarity with school attendance processes and systems such as SIMS.
Experience using CPOMS for safeguarding and tracking.
Knowledge of school finance systems, including Agresso.
