Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our administration team in the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, Somerset.The successful applicant will be part of a small, multi-functional team providing outpatient clinic appointments to our patients together with chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment slots.
Main duties of the job We are looking for someone who is adaptable and flexible and when covering main reception be the welcoming face of the department.The post also includes rotational cover of the Beacon Day Unit reception and processing and booking patient appointments from the booking office.The department uses Mosaiq, Maxims, EPRO and Q Pulse and training will be delivered on all systems.If you are interested in working in an interesting, fast paced environment, please consider applying.

Job description Job responsibilities This role supports patient pathways by processing and booking patient appointments using multiple systems.
This will include outpatient appointments and, following training, chemotherapy and radiotherapy appointments.
This role also entails covering the reception desk both in The Beacon Centre Outpatients area and The Beacon Day Unit.Please see attached Job Description document for further details.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Good General Education Computer Literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook Desirable ECDL or similar NVQ II or similar qualification in Business Administration Experience Essential Dealing with customers/general public.
Previous office experience.
Use of computers.
Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Additional Criteria Essential COMMUNICATION SKILLS Evidence of a good standard of Literacy / English language skills Pleasant telephone manner Good Team Worker Ability to communicate with staff at all levels and with patients both verbally and written.
