A vacancy has arisen within the orthopaedic Pre-operative Assessment clinic, here at woodend hospital, for a Band 6 Senior staff Nurse.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our nurse lead team who has acute sector experience within a busy surgical or anaesthetics environment.
Experience in Pre-operative assessment, would be ideal but not essential , as in house training would be undertaken.
They should be able to work well under pressure.
The successful candidate will work 16 hours over 2 days, Monday to Friday.They would pre-assess Orthopaedic patients awaiting elective surgery,working as part of a multidisciplinary team The individual must be hard working; innovative and able to work autonomously within own limitations.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential.
This post also requires teaching and mentoring of junior members of staff.
The post will also require deputising for SCN in their absence.
