Job Title: SAP GTS Architect Contract Start Date: ASAP Location: London (Hybrid) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) Architect to join our team and support our customer during the Design Phase of an SAP implementation project.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in SAP GTS and global trade compliance to help guide the customer through the design process, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and SAP standards.
Key Responsibilities: Customer Engagement & Design Support: Work directly with the customer to understand their business needs and objectives related to global trade, logistics, and compliance.
Solution Design & Best Practices: Provide SAP best practices and architectural guidance for designing the SAP GTS solution in line with industry standards Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure the solution design addresses regulatory compliance requirements and mitigates risks related to global trade operations.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and external partners, to define and validate the design requirements.
Documentation & Reporting: Support the creation of detailed design documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and configuration guidelines.
Training & Knowledge Transfer: Share knowledge and best practices with customer teams to ensure they are equipped to manage SAP GTS post-implementation.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as an SAP GTS Architect with a deep understanding of SAP GTS modules (e.g., Trade Compliance, Customs Management, Export Control, Global Trade Visibility).
Expertise in the global trade and customs domain, including knowledge of regulatory frameworks, tariffs, import/export processes, and trade compliance requirements.
Strong knowledge of SAP best practices and experience in applying them to design and implement solutions for global trade and compliance.
Experience leading design workshops and working directly with customers to understand their business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
Strong experience with integrating SAP GTS with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP TM, SAP SD, SAP MM) and third-party systems.
Ability to design scalable and effective solutions while ensuring compliance and minimizing risk across international trade operations.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver practical, innovative solutions.
Preferred Experience: Experience with global trade management in large, multinational enterprises.
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and how it integrates with SAP GTS.
Experience with SAP Trade Compliance, SAP Customs Management, and SAP Global Trade Reporting.
Project management experience, including working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience in training and knowledge transfer to end-users and other team members.
