Job Description Working hours are Tuesday - Saturday. 5am-1pm. Please note no previous experience in a laboratory is required, full training is provided. We are keen to speak with people who are used to working in a fast paced environment and have a willingness to learn new skills.
As a sample registration co-ordinator you will be responsible for organising and registering water samples into the IT system. You will work closely with the other areas of the department to ensure testing timelines are met.
Sort through all sample deliveries and arrange samples in time order.
Match sample paperwork to the relevant samples.
Register samples into our IT system. Lift and manoeuvre water samples around the laboratory.
Maintain a clean and tidy work space i.e.
take out waste, wash laboratory equipment. Communicate with internal teams or customers.
Ensure accurate labelling, storage and disposal of samples takes place.
Ensure that registration is completed in a timely manner to allow the sample to be tested within the required time frame.
Be aware of and always maintain good laboratory practice.
Complete all required training and maintain your own records as required.
Qualifications Experience in a fast-paced working environment and working under pressure would be beneficial.
Computer literate.
Enthusiastic and willing to learn. Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
Good communication skills and a team player.
