Macgregor Black are partnering with a market leading consumer business, on the search for a Sales & Marketing Director.
This is a permanent role based in Peterborough.
As Sales& Marketing Director you will lead continuous improvement across all key processes and drive efficiencies across the departments and entire business.
Key Responsibilities Inspire, lead and coach 6 direct reports, with further recruitment alongside business growth to ensure that they and the business are in the best position for future growth.
Maximise sales and profits whilst ensuring harmonisation in all sales channels and brand strategies.
Work closely with the GM to develop strategic sales plans to deliver long term, sustainable growth for the business.
Ensure forecasting for the sales team is effective to ensure stock is managed efficiently.
Identify and develop opportunities for new sales channels, retailers, product categories and brands.
Develop strategic relationships with key customers and 3rd party stakeholders.
Lead marketing activities with significant budget responsibilities across performance media, PR, social, trade marketing and content creation balancing brand specific objectives from immediate sales to long term brand awareness.
Develop reporting metrics to show ROI of advertising spend to maximise profitability.
Stay up to date with latest industry news and trade, attending relevant networking events to ensure the business is at the forefront of marketing changes.
What are we looking for?
5years + in a similar leadership position in either a sales, digital marketing, or ecommerce capacity.
Experience working within consumer non-food and drink industries, preferably within a considered product purchase category.
Strong understanding and proven track record of achieving growth across D2C and Amazon.
Deep understanding of customers and trading experience is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate sustainable relationship building across the customer base.
In-depth understanding of how to measure, monitor and motivate a Sales team both directly and via second line management.
Experience of budgeting and costing is essential including financial planning, P&L and ROI analysis.
Lead by example approach with exemplary communication skills Degree Educated Full, clean, current driving license with ability to travel.
