Sales Manager Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire Salary: £65,000 per annum plus targeted bonus scheme and £500 per month car allowance Are you a results-driven sales professional with a background in precision engineering?
Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join their management team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on success and enjoys driving business growth.
About the Role: As Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the sales team, driving revenue growth, and developing close customer relationships.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will focus on expanding existing markets and targeting new opportunities, with a particular emphasis on the defence industry.
Key Responsibilities: Commercial Strategy and Market Expansion: Leverage a strong understanding of general engineering, including milling, turning, sheet metal, assembly, plating, and powder coat painting.
Target new markets and expand opportunities within the defence industry using accredited qualifications.
Set up and monitor supply agreements and contracts.
Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve targets.
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of sales forecasts and reports.
Oversee presentations, costing, and quote generation.
Work closely with customers at all levels to build and nurture long-lasting relationships.
Monitor agreed targets and objectives, ensuring successful achievement.
Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record in sales, with excellent people management and leadership skills.
Strong understanding of general engineering, including precision manufacturing processes.
Commercially aware with experience in market expansion.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Team player with a collaborative approach to leadership.
Benefits: Competitive salary of £65,000 per annum.

Car allowance of £500 per month.
Flexible working hours: 37.5-hour week from Monday to Thursday, with flexible start and finish times.
