Sales Director opportunity with a leading Investor Relations ConsultancyContent-led outfit, London-based and in need of B2B service sales experienceAbout Our Client Our client is a leading, global content-led Investor Relations Consultancy operating in all major capital markets.
Job Description You will perform a key role in the business development and sales effort, targeting companies and acquiring new business including converting both hot and cold leads, conducting pitches and identifying and planning sales campaigns.
Determining clients needs through a solution based selling approach, meticulous follow-up skills and advanced sales skills, you will successfully meet and exceed individual targets.
You will manage relationships with corporate clients, ensuring that service delivery is in line with expectations, enhance service provision and improve our clients overall experience for their clients.
Utilising your strong background in executive-level communication you will build out referral networks and partner relationships.
You will be responsible for creating and managing sales opportunities through prospecting, client meetings and regular follow up - key tasks are below:
Develop a thorough understanding of products & services, and effectively communicate these offerings to prospective customersProspect new business opportunities primarily across pre-agreed sectorsRelationship management of our clients client base, to maximise service & revenue opportunities - the core focus of this new role is new business, but some account management will of course be required, naturallyBuild and maintain strong and up-to-date pipeline and prospect listExecute face to face meetings, pitches with C-suite audiences and ensure timely follow up is undertakenOversight of sales executives, leading by example, driving successful outcomes and supporting them in their knowledge and developmentBuild out network of primary sales sectorsLog and track opportunities and activities via SalesforceUndertake analysis of potential clients to determine those which will deliver the greatest potential value whilst retaining and enhancing the value of existing clientsContribute to the sales strategy in terms of market and client segmentation analysis as well as profiling and researching existing and potential accountsLiaise closely with the Sales Team and Sector Managing Directors to agree individual sales planRepresent our client at industry conferences to network, acquire sector knowledge, build new leads and sustain client relationshipsThe Successful Applicant Our client is in need of a senior, strategic Sales Director, someone with a proven track record in new business development and ideally an understanding of the Investor Relations landscape.
Please note though that this new business role is selling to Corporates, not Investors.
Proven track record in high productivity and meeting targets and deadlinesSelf-starter who will excel in a fast-paced and fluid environmentStrong interpersonal skills and ability to gain respect of senior management and external executivesUnderstanding of capital markets - highly desirableAbility to rapidly build trust and credibility with prospective and existing clientsLine management and/or mentoring experience of less experienced sales personnelCompetency with internet and mobile technologiesPersistent, ambitious, and deft at problem solvingA few of our clients focus areas right now (global) are Energy Transition, Life Sciences and Listed Asset Managers, Banks and Wealth Managers.

Whats on Offer Our client is looking to pay c.£80-85k Base Salary with Benefits and OTE to be discussed at interview.
