This role offers the opportunity to evolve into the position of Managing Director, taking full leadership responsibility as the company grows.
Job Description Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve growth targets within the personal care category.Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including the top 4 grocery multiples (Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons), discounters (e.g., Aldi, Lidl, Home Bargains), and drug store chains (e.g., Boots, Superdrug).Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, ensuring increased market share and brand presence.Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, development, and performance management to achieve team goals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, supply chain, and finance to align sales objectives with business priorities.Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to optimise sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis for the senior leadership team.Support the long-term strategic planning process, contributing insights and recommendations for the business's growth and development.As the role evolves, assume broader management responsibilities, including P&L management and operational oversight. The Successful Applicant Proven experience in sales, specifically within the personal or home care products industry.Strong track record of selling into the top 4 UK grocery multiples, discounters, and drug store chains.Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build, inspire, and lead high-performing teams.A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of managing day-to-day operations while driving long-term growth.Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Experience in managing P&L and an understanding of the commercial aspects of business operations.Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.This role is home based with national travel required.
