AKP Resources is representing a leading food company, a recognized leader in the potato industry.
It is a family owned company, founded and headquartered in the Netherlands and with sales offices all over the world.
The company is growing rapidly, which makes it an exciting, enjoyable and dynamic place to work.
Our client is continuously working to expand its global position in the food service market.
To help realise their growth ambitions, they are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Director UK and Ireland.
This position is focused Wholesale, Large Restaurant Chains, & QSRs.
What will you be doing?
- Contribute and implement the commercial strategy of our client and oversee the sales activities in the UK and Ireland.
Define and ensure realization of the sales strategy for the region.
Truly understand regional differences and remove obstacles where necessary to increase regional successes.
- Analyse and anticipate strategic issues in the area of: (future) markets, competitive products, trends, business or organizational requirements for product-market combination(s).
- Managing and cooperating with a team of motivated high professionals.
Together ensure delivery of the commercial annual plan, value and customer satisfaction.
- Cross-functional collaboration with the Marketing, Finance, Demand Management, Supply Chain, Customer Service and QA departments.
- Integrally cooperate with your colleagues from the APAC, LATAM, CEE, CWE and MEA regions and the International Key Account Management team (IKAM).
- Reporting to the Global Sales Director.
What do you need?
- University work- and thinking level with a Sales background and affinity with Marketing and Finance is preferred.
- At least 15 years of relevant work experience of which 8 years in a managerial position.
- Experience in the Foodservice sector is a must and international experience is preferred.
- Experience in developing and implementing a vision and strategy.
- Strong analytical thinking with knowledge of P&L.
- Proven skills in team building and increasing the involvement of employees.
- Potential to grow in the organization.
- Positive, proactive and result driven attitude with highly developed communication skills.
- A passion for fries.
