Main duties of the job As a GP Practice which is part of Northumbria Primary Care, we work with flexibility and independence to run the surgery based on what is best for our patients and staff, and additionally we have the regular and consistent support of the management team to help us to focus on what is clinically important.
As a Salaried GP the post holder will be a key clinician within the team.

Our organisation launched in 2015 with an ambition to work at scale with like-minded practices, improving resilience and quality of services for our patients whilst retaining practice identity and team composition.
We operate with a unique model of an entirely salaried workforce providing primary care services to around 134,000 patients from 20 GP surgery locations (12 GP practices).
We employ more than 500 staff.
While appointees will have a base practice within NPC, they may be asked to work at other practices across our group.
We do however limit this as much as possible as we appreciate continuity is vital to effective primary care.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post holder will work as a member of the multidisciplinary Practice team to provide general medical services for the needs of the practice population and to help ensure the Practice provides the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
The post holder will manage a busy caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.
The post holder is expected to contribute to the operational and strategic management of the practices within Northumbria Primary care and there are opportunities for personal and professional development across a wide range of areas within primary and secondary care.
Person specificationQualifications Full GMC Registration Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent (JCPTGP/nMRCGP) Membership of a recognized defence union (MPS/MDU) Currently on a performers list and never been removed from a performers list for a detrimental reason DRCOG DFFP/FFFP DCH Educational Qualification Experience Clinical training and experience as a General Practitioner Experience in a wide variety of clinical settings Experience of use of primary care IT systems Experience of, and commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate staff from other professions Experience of and commitment to clinical audit.
