Job summary We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Salaried GP to join the team in our friendly, high-achieving and forward thinking practice.We are seeking an individual who can provide 6-8 sessions/3-4 days a week, to start in February/March (negotiable) Main duties of the job To deal with a wide range of health needs in a primarycare setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered andtemporary patients.The post holder will undertake a variety of dutiesincluding surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visitingpatients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, taking action onelectronic prescription requests and dealing with prescription queries,paperwork and correspondence, including electronic correspondence, dealing withpatient test results and medical reports, referral letters and any othercorrespondence as appropriate in a timely manner.
About us Blyth Road Medical Centre is a GMS practice with around 6300 patients.
We have 3 Partners, 2 ANPs, 2 Practice Nurses and 2 HCA's along with a team of Admin and Reception staff.
We also work alongside various other health care professionals including a Social Prescriber, Nurse Associate, Diabetic Dietician, First Contact Physiotherapists and a Clinical Pharmacy team.We are a spoke training practice, use Systmone, AccuRx and Anima.
We are well supported by our Patient Participation Group.

Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation topresenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health careworkers.
Assess the health needs of patients withundifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screen patients for disease risk factors and earlysigns of illnessProviding counselling and health educationRecord clear and contemporaneous consultation notes toagreed standards, primarily by use of the computer system and complete theclinical system templates as appropriateCollecting data for audit purposesPrescribe in accordance with the Practice prescribingformulary and agreed guidelines.In general, the post holder will be expected toundertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GPworking within primary care.
OtherResponsibilities within the Practice Awareness and compliance with all relevantpolicies/guidelines including, but not limited to prescribing, confidentiality,data protection, health and safety, safeguarding, QOF and CQCA commitment to lifelong learning and audit to ensureevidence based best practice Contribute to the evaluation/audit and clinicalstandard setting within the organisationContributing to the practice achievement of QOF andother performance targetsAttend training and events organised by the practiceor other agencies, where appropriate.
This includes clinical and non-clinical training.Ensure that personal mandatory and organisationally required training is up todate.
