Job summary SALARIED GP Fantastic opportunity to work 3 or 4 sessions a week with a large team of GPs and Nurses on a fixed term contract for maternity cover, at a friendly, well established, forward thinking Practice in a seaside town.
Starting 1st January 2025Wehave been working hard to give our GPs the right work/life balance and their job plan reflects this with an average of 13 patients per session and limited visits due to our visiting ANPs.
We have an admin GP which lessens the burden of admin on the salaried GPs.
Our experiencedadmin/reception team are excellent at work flow re-direction and patient signposting which reduces the amount of admin work for GPs.We have in house mental health worker, social prescriber, health and well being coach and care coordinator.
Main duties of the job 3 to 4 sessions a week, one day must be Friday, other day can be flexible.Each session is made up of 13 or 14 x minute appointments between 9am and 6 pm.

Job description Job responsibilities This is an example of our GP plan1.
Each session will be made up of 13x minute appointments, made up of telephone and face to face depending on GP preference, catch up blocks can be added as required.2.
Majority of visits are done by Minor Illness team, any that require a GP are allocated by the oncall doctor (we have a very low number of home visits compared to other practices and it would be unusual to have more than one a week).3.
You will be required to work a duty session as requested.
These sessions are usually the same number of contacts as standard sessions.5.
You may be expected to take a lead on particular areas of QoF/chronic disease management as agreed between yourself and the partners.6.
You will be expected to attend and contribute to clinical team meetings.7.
You may be asked to assist in training/mentoring of other clinical staff employed by the practice.8.
You may be included in strategic meetings with the partners and other GPs.9.
The practice will provide time for you to attend training events held throughout the year as part of your personal development.
