Job summary We are a 5GP partner, semi-rural, non-dispensing practice located in the beautiful markettown of Stokesley (between Middlesbrough and Northallerton), on the border ofthe North Yorkshire Moors.
We arelooking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our close-knit andwell-established multidisciplinary team for a period of one year to covermaternity leave.
We are looking toappoint someone to work 6 sessions over 3 days.
To start around April 2025 but with some flexibility on this.
Some flexibility with days but preferably Monday Tuesday Thursday as working days.Potentiallythere may be a permanent position available after the year and this will bediscussed and looked at prior to the end of the fixed term.Our GPs arecommitted to doctor wellbeing, offering good support to each other, andencouraging development of outside interests.Thepractice recently underwent a major £1.9million building refurbishment giving uspurpose-built premises to provide excellent healthcare for the 21stcentury.
Main duties of the job This role will require the successful candidate to share home visiting and the Duty Doctor role in practice, alongside the GP Partners.Main duties and clinical responsibilities: A variety of duties as per any GP working within primary care, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, triaging calls as part of duty Doctor role, home visits, checking and signing of electronic repeat prescriptions and dealing with paperwork and correspondence.
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
Developing care plans for health, alongside our patients.
Management of common chronic medical conditions.
Referring patients for further opinions and interventions according to practice protocols.
Maintaining quality accurate patient computer records including consultation notes to agreed standards Practice audit work About us 4 full time GP partners, 1 part time partner and 1 part time salaried GP 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Physician Associate, Physiotherapist and 3 pharmacists.
