Main duties of the job The role will require initialhistory taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation ofcare.
Be able to demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care,including assessment and diagnostic skills, The post holder will demonstratecritical thinking in clinical decision-making and work collaboratively with thegeneral practice team to meet the needs of the patients.
Delivery of policy andprocedures, and providing appropriate leadership in accordance with the GMC/ NMC.

Work in generalpractice can be challenging expect it to be difficult at times.
You will besupported by your mentor and the practice but seeing patients in generalpractice involves you having to make some decisions without the benefit ofimmediate advice from seniors.
Coping with uncertainty and managing risk are importantskills to learn.Regardingworkload - you will never be asked to do more than any partner and usually itwill be considerably less.The working dayin general practice can seem long.
You will have surgeries at am and pmtypically.
You are required to see a set number of patients in each of yourdaily rotas.
Full detail will bediscussed and agreed.There will betime between surgeries for visits, lunch ,meetings and administration.It may seem alsothat there is spare time we ask that you make good use of this.
