Job summary Albany House Medical Centre is a well-established GP practice based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and we are committed to providing the highest standards of patient care.Weare seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our team providing care to our service users.The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensiveprimary care services to our patients and will be a key member of ourmultidisciplinary team.In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain strong relationships withyour patients, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our core values ofensuring continuity of care and contributing to the overallhealth and wellbeing of the local community.

Main duties of the job In accordance with the practicetimetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available toundertake a variety of duties, including (but not limited to) surgeryconsultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home,checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, managing self generated admin diligently and efficiently, filling of pathology reports and actioning any outcomes efficiently and in a timely manner, mange correspondences in a timely general, the post-holder will be expected toundertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a General Practitioner working within primary care.

Job description Job responsibilities KeyResponsibilities:Provide high-quality primary care to patients, including diagnosis, treatmentand referral where appropriateContribute to the ongoing development and delivery ofpatient servicesMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, includingappropriate administrative tasksDevelop and maintain positive relationships with patients,carers, and other healthcare professionals Person Specification Qualifications Essential Qualified GP MRCGP Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT) Experience Essential Experience of working in a primary care environment Experience of continued professional development Experience of QOF and clinical audit General understanding of the GMS Contract Desirable Experience of medicines management Experience of local CCG initiatives Minimum of two years as a salaried GP Clinical Knowledge & Skills Essential Outstanding level of clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with that of an experienced GP Skills Essential Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Strong IT skills Clear, polite telephone manner Competent in the use of Office and Outlook Systmone user skills Effective time management (Planning & Organising) Ability to work as a team member and autonomously Excellent interpersonal skills Problem solving & analytical skills Ability to follow clinical policy and procedure Experience with audit and able to lead audit programmes Experience with clinical risk management Personal Qualities Essential Polite and confident Flexible and cooperative Motivated, forward thinker Problem solver with the ability to process information accurately and effectively, interpreting data as required High levels of integrity and loyalty Sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations Ability to work under pressure / in stressful situations Effectively able to communicate and understand the needs of the patient Commitment to ongoing professional development Effectively utilises resources Punctual and committed to supporting the team effort Other requirements Essential Flexibility to work outside of core office hours Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check Occupational Health Clearance Project lead as required with CQC, CCG and QOF
