We are allsmall traditional partner led GP practices and we try and keep the bestfeatures of traditional General Practice while looking to make the most of newopportunities for our patients.
Due to the changesin the ARRS Scheme to introduce General Practitioners we are looking to expandour team by seeking to employ a newly qualified General Practitioner to workalongside our practices, Primary Care Network and Integrated Neighbourhood Teamstaff.
Main duties of the job To perform as anautonomous general practitioner working independently and with other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patientsattending within a primary care setting.Provide expert professional advice topatients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinicalexcellence.
To be involved in the provision of education and training to GP ST3sand other staff.To be professionally accountable and responsible for allelements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conductensuring the safety of patients and quality of their care is primary.Providingcounselling and health educationAdmitting ordischarging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other careproviders as appropriateRecording clear andcontemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standardsCollecting data foraudit purposesCompiling andissuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptionsPrescribing inaccordance with the ICB prescribing formulary whenever this is clinicallyappropriateThe post-holderwill be required to visit patients during surgery time in an emergency ifclinically indicated.The Frailty sessionwill involve working with our care coordinator and social prescribers toprovide pro-active care in the community to frail patients, particularly thosefrom deprived areas who have recently been admitted to hospital or who are atrisk of being admitted About us Banbury AlliancePCN is made up of three GP Practices with a weighted list size of 28,000.
