Job summary To be eligible to apply forthe ARRS GP rolecandidates must:Must not have been substantivelyemployed as a GP in generalpractice previously; orIs not employed in a temporarycapacity as a locum; and/orUpon commencement ofemployment is less than 2 yearsbeyond their certificate ofcompletion of training being issuedby the GMC.The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in aprimary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporarypatients.Working ArrangementsYou will have a base at Trinity Medical Centre Wakefield (which will also be used for thepurposes of claiming mileage) but will be required to work flexibly across the PCN GP practicesand premises and potentially across the Wakefield District.As the role requires you to commute across the Wakefield District applicants should eitherhold a full driving licence, which is valid in the UK, and hold the relevant car insurance to covertravel for business purposes or have the ability to be mobile by using other modes of transportfor which reasonable expenses will be of work are 33 hours per week to be worked flexibly between 8am and Mondayto Friday.
Where you may be required to support clinical services outside of these hours, timeoff in lieu will be made available.
Main duties of the job In accordance with the PCN/General Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.This position is fixed-term with a contract end date of 31/03/2025 but may be extended subject to additional funding being confirmed and the requirement for the role to be continuedPlease see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for details of the role.
