Salaried GP Opportunity at The Colne Practice Position: Salaried GP (ARRS-funded) Location: The Colne Practice, 99a Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, WD3 7DJ Contract: Fixed-term until 31 March 2025, with potential for extension subject to NHSE guidance Sessions: 6 sessions per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Friday) Salary: Competitive, aligned with BMA contract guidelines Benefits: - 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata) - 1 week study leave (pro rata) About Us: The Colne Practice (https://www.thecolnepractice.co.uk/) is a dynamic and supportive GP surgery serving a patient list of 10,400.
We emphasize personal lists, continuity of care, and patient-focused services.
Our dedicated team comprises: - 5 Partners - 2 Salaried GPs - 3 Clinical Pharmacists - Physiotherapist - Experienced Nursing and Administrative Staff As a recognised Teaching Practice, we are actively involved in the education and development of GPs, FY1 doctors, and medical students from Brunel and Cambridge medical schools.
We also host training afternoons for our Primary Care Network (PCN) training days.
We welcome new GP team members to participate in these educational activities, particularly if they are interested in developing their teaching and mentoring skills.
Additionally, our practice offers an in-house Minor Surgery and Joint Injection service, with opportunities for supervision and training in these areas.
Main Duties: - Conduct routine and urgent appointments (face-to-face and telephone) - Prescribe in accordance with local and national guidelines - Perform home visits (routine and emergency) - Manage administrative tasks: letters, results, referrals, and more - Ensure appropriate referrals and follow local guidance - Review and sign repeat prescriptions - Provide cover for colleagues in exceptional circumstances - Participate in on-call sessions (pro rata) - Collaborate with health and social care providers for integrated services - Maintain accurate patient records using EMIS clinical system - Support staff in achieving high standards of care and meeting QOF and Enhanced Services targets Qualifications and Skills: - GMC-registered GP, newly qualified within the last 2 years - Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care - Ability to manage a diverse patient caseload - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Interest in teaching and mentoring is advantageous Application Process: To apply or for further enquiries, please contact: Jackie Porter, Practice Manager Email: ****** Address: The Colne Practice, 99a Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, WD3 7DJ Closing Date: 4 December 2024 Join us at The Colne Practice and contribute to a team dedicated to excellence in patient care and professional development.
