Safety Assistant

Job Title : Safety Assistant Location : Singapore Experience : 0 to 1 Years Salary : Depends Upon Experience Main Responsibilities Assist the Safety Officer/Manager in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Provide support in developing and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is used properly.
Conduct safety orientations and training sessions for employees and contractors.
Maintain records of incidents, inspections, and corrective actions for audit purposes.
Participate in incident investigations and assist in preparing detailed reports.
Monitor emergency response procedures and ensure readiness in case of emergencies.
Collaborate with teams to promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility.
Assist in the preparation of safety documents and reports, including risk assessments and safety manuals.
Essential Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Certification in safety practices such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent is mandatory.
Skills Required Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deliver safety training effectively.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify hazards and recommend solutions.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
