Duties: Manage safeguarding referrals using the internal safeguarding system, ensuring policies and processes are followed.
Drive the improvement of behaviour and safeguarding practices across the site, ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines, CQC & Ofsted regulations.
Oversee the effective implementation of the Attendance Policy.
Deliver safeguarding and behaviour training through staff CPD sessions.
Ensure all compliance reports and audits are completed in partnership with the school business manager.
Communicate with parents, staff, local authorities, and other agencies regarding student progress and support strategies.
Support Service Leads with the strategic development of behaviour, pastoral care, and transition to adulthood programmes.
Responsibilities will vary, flexibility and adaptability are key to the role.

Criteria: DSL / Designated Safeguarding Lead Training Level 3 or above – Essential.

Experience in developing pastoral care and special needs interventions.
Previous leadership experience in a residential children's or adult care setting.
Proven experience with behaviour and teaching strategies.
Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and relevant support frameworks (e.g., TEACCH or similar).
Familiarity with Ofsted and CQC regulations and inspections.
ComplianceSuccessful applicants will undergo pre-employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
