Main duties of the job As a Safeguarding Officer, you will play a crucialrole in responding and monitoring safeguarding issues.
You will assist inimplementing safeguarding policies and practices, ensuring the higheststandards are maintained.
Your work will involve regular analysis ofsafeguarding data and collaborating with staff and external agencies to promotea safe environment for all.

Job description Job responsibilities Assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead in responding to welfare and safety concerns.
Monitor and analyse safeguarding data to identify trends and concerns.
Provide a responsive service for safeguarding inquiries related to children and young people.
Guide staff on safeguarding practices to ensure every young person's safety.
Support the delivery of safeguarding training for staff, volunteers, and agencies.
Liaise with external safeguarding partners and agencies as needed.
Manage allegations and referrals in accordance with Priors Courts safeguarding policies.
Maintain accurate and secure safeguarding documentation.
Collaborate with HR on suitability assessments for staff and volunteers.
Person Specification Skills / Knowledge Essential Awareness of safeguarding legislation, guidance, and thresholds Ability to write balanced and factually accurate reports.
Qualifications Essential Diploma 3 in Health and Social Care Willingness to complete relevant training for the role universal safeguarding training for children and adults, DSL training, train the trainer course, safer recruitment, allegation management training Desirable Diploma Level 5 or NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care A management qualification Experience Essential Experience in providing care and learning for children and / or vulnerable young people.
Experience within a safeguarding role or a management role with safeguarding responsibilities.
Experience in working with external partners / agencies Desirable Knowledge of Autism, Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs.
Experience in delivering training.
Experience in conducting effective investigations, with reasonable outcomes.
