Our team is made up of 400 colleagues who collaboratively work across Bristol & Weston sites.

Main duties of the job Within this role, you will rotate across a variety of specialities and sites across both Bristol & Weston.
These rotations include: Medicine Trauma and Orthopaedics Critical Care, Cardiac and Surgery Older Person Therapy including Front Door Stroke Paediatrics Oncology During your rotation, you'll be building relationships with new teams and adapting to new environments, all that offer unique benefits and incentives such as: Supportive, integrated team working IST/journal clubs/ research opportunities Protected and regular Clinical supervision from a Team Lead OT/ Clinical Specialist OT Service development and QI projects Cake rotas Want to hear more about the benefits of working at UHBW?

Person Specification Knowledge and experience Essential Experience of working as part of an Occupational Therapy team &/ or multidisciplinary team Staff have completed a variety of rotations as a band 5 Contributing to clinical education of less experienced staff, students or assistants Experience of discharge planning Desirable Previous experience at Band 6 Clinical supervision of students & technician staff Experience or knowledge of working in an acute hospital setting/community setting Previous NHS experience Skills and abilities Essential Effective communication skills both verbal & written Ability to work unsupervised Ability to plan, prioritise & delegate Demonstrate Assessment, Analytical & Reflective skills across a diverse patient group Ability to meet deadlines & work under pressure Ability to effectively perform patient assessments & interventions, including therapeutic handling Excellent organisational skills Ability to travel between sites Presentation skills Knowledge of clinical Governance & its application to Occupational Therapy Ability to cope in a stressful environment undertaking moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day and carrying out concurrent activities Desirable Competent IT Skills Ability to effect & manage change Leadership Skills Qualifications and Training Essential Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy Health Professions Council registered Evidence of Continuing Professional Development Desirable Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Involvement in Relevant Special Clinical Interest Groups Aptitudes Essential Credible & mature attitude, which is recognised & respected by other staff Demonstrates a commitment to own professional development Commitment to Trust values: We are supportive, we are respectful, we are innovative, we are collaborative Proactive attitude Committed to team working
