Rotational Occupational Therapist - Countywide

Job summary Are you a recently qualified OT looking to develop your skills and experience across a wide range of physical and mental health settings?
We are looking for OTs to join our established and sought after Band 5 Occupational Therapy rotation.
This role will require you to travel countywide across the Trusts sites on a regular basis You must therefore be comfortable with driving for work purposes and able to travel freely within the hours of the role.
Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work.
Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.
Main duties of the job Our rotation offers a unique opportunity to work in a mix of clinical areas across physical health, mental health and various specialist services.
The rotation currently includes: Adult Mental Health (inpatient) Adult Learning Disability (community) Forensic Mental Health (inpatient) Stroke Rehabilitation (inpatient) Older Adult Mental Health (inpatient) Older Adult Mental Health (community) Community Therapy Service (community) Community Hospital rehabilitation (inpatient) The rotation is focused in and around the city of Oxford, with some rotations based in the community hospitals around the county.
Each rotation is for a period of 8 months.
In each rotation you will work within a team to assess, plan, treat and review patients with a range of physical and mental health conditions.
Different settings use different clinical models or frameworks suitable for their area, which you will be supported to develop your understanding of.
You will also be supported to work through specific competencies to evidence your developing skills in each specialism.

If this is your first qualified post, you will be supported to complete your preceptorship as part of our Flyer Programme.
We also have our recently launched career framework to support all qualified OTs to review and evidence their continuing development, and support them to look at a variety of areas for their development.
We ask all B5 OTs to join our B5 OT Development Group.
This is a monthly CPD education and peer support programme.
These sessions aim to consolidate OT identity in a variety of clinical settings and support the application of theory into practice.
We are really proud of the range of clinical areas covered by our rotation, and the breadth of experience this will give our rotational OTs.
We hope that this rotation, along with our B5 Development Group and our award-winning preceptorship programme (The Flyer Programme) gives recently qualified OTs a great start to their career.
