Job overview Working Full time - 37.5 hours per weekWe are looking for a dynamic and pro-active individual to join our team in the post of Rota Co-Ordinator.
The post-holder will provide support to the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department within the Women & Children's Division to co-ordinate rotas and provide an administrative function to the team.As Rota Co-Ordinator the post holder will be key in producing rotas alongside the Clinical Rota Leads, using a solution-focused approach to ensure that rotas have adequate cover at all times, especially when unforeseen circumstances occur, and escalating to the Directorate Managers and Clinical Leads where appropriate.This is a role that requires a flexible, approachable people person, who is self-motivated, and has a positive attitude, with excellent communication skills an eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
Main duties of the job To produce a rota for relevant clinical teams, cross checking all clinical activity to ensure an efficient and comprehensive service is provided and circulating this weekly to secretarial team, consultants, and all other relevant members of the department.Provide a first line point of contact for all queries relating to the Obs and Gynae rota and provide advice on medical workforce issues while escalating complex queries/problems as appropriate.To maintain awareness of departmental clinician's leave including annual, study, professional and sick leave, monitoring the impact of this to identify service implications and take action as appropriate.To work proactively and identify rota issues as early as possible, managing the outcome and escalating where appropriate.
