We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to work for our well-established, thriving client based in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will work within a small team managing numerous contracts. The role is a full-time temporary to permanent position working from 8am – 5pm (Monday – Friday) with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break and offers a competitive salary. The role will be both office and site based and our client offers either car allowance/mileage reimbursement for appointments travelling to and from site, so candidates must have their own mode of transport.
Candidates should be competent in all roof types – Tile/Slate/Green/Liquid etc.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Full day to day management of numerous Contracts to which you will be appointed to manage for the full duration of each Contract, inclusive of all site activities required for the proper delivery of our Contracted works, including all material and plant procurement and production/placing of all purchase orders with our Admin team. Attending internal office meetings when requested by senior management or company Directors. NB: such meetings to be a minimum of one per week with a duration of up to 4 hours, or several meetings per week if the company workload requires. Full and comprehensive management of all direct, indirect, and sub-contract labour as required to achieve full delivery of all contracted activities within each Contract or project the company undertakes. All site visits and client meetings required for the full delivery of each project. Taking and recording all site measurements related to contracted works and as may be otherwise required to manage all contracted works diligently and effectively. Monitoring and Quality Control of all site and Contract works and activities, raising early verbal and written warnings to company Directors and senior staff relating to any current or potential issues within the delivery of all contracted site activities to each Contract. To check original Tender information supplied and to site measure all commercial aspects of each project, raising all discrepancies found to senior company managers and Directors at the soonest possible opportunity to avoid potential commercial shortfalls. Production and timely distribution of all Risk Assessments and Method Statements for each Contract. Site "Tool-Box-Talks" for all subcontractors and/or directly employed staff. The checking, measuring and signing of all invoices received from our labour supply teams (sub-contractors) and/or direct labour in relation to site activities. Skills/Experience Contracts management experience within the roofing industry essential. SMSTS and CSCS essential. Experience with all roof types. #J-18808-Ljbffr
